Constanța is a city on the Black Sea coast of Romania. It is the capital of Constanța County and the largest city in the Dobruja region. Constanța is the oldest continuously inhabited city in Romania. Founded by the Greeks in the 7th century BC as Tomis. It later became a Roman colony and a major port for the Byzantine and Ottoman empires. After being destroyed by an earthquake in 1857, the city was rebuilt in the style of an Italian Renaissance city.

Today, Constanța is Romania’s second largest city. The city is home to beautiful beaches, the famous Genoese Lighthouse, the Turkish Mosque, and Casino Constanta, one of the oldest casinos in Europe.
