Guinea-Bissau

Guinea-Bissau is a small country located in West Africa. It is bordered by Senegal to the north and Guinea to the south and east. The capital city is Bissau. The official language is Portuguese.

Guinea-Bissau was a Portuguese colony for centuries. It gained independence in 1974. Since then, it has been through a lot of political turmoil. There have been several military coups and the country has been unstable. Despite all of this, Guinea-Bissau is a beautiful country with a lot to offer. The beaches are lovely and there are many interesting places to visit, such as the capital city of Bissau, the island of Bubaque, and the National Park of Arquipélago dos Bijagós.

The food in Guinea-Bissau is a mix of Portuguese and African cuisine. Some popular dishes include cachupa, a stew made with beans, corn, and meat, and rissois de camarão, shrimp risotto.
