Santa Marta is a city located in the Magdalena Department, Colombia. It is the capital of the department and the fourth largest city in the country. Santa Marta is also the first and only Colombian city to be designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The city is located on the Caribbean Coast and is a popular tourist destination.
