Sheki is a city in northwestern Azerbaijan, lying on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus mountain range. It is 450 km (280 mi) from Baku and about 100 km (62 mi) from the Russian border. Sheki is situated in a beautiful green valley. The city is dominated by the Khudavand Peak (4,868 m/16,009 ft), which is the highest peak in the Lesser Caucasus mountain range.
