Harare is the capital of Zimbabwe and, at over 1.6 million people, the country's largest city. It's also one of the oldest cities in southern Africa, dating back to the early 1500s. The city is located in the northeast of the country, on the edge of the highveld and near the eastern edge of the Great Zimbabwe Plateau. Harare is a bustling city with a lot of culture and history. There are a number of interesting places to visit, including the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences, and the Natural History Museum. There are also a number of beautiful parks, including the large and popular Zimbabwe National Botanical Gardens.
