City in 🇸🇪 Sweden with a population of around 98 thousand people.

Örebro is a small city in central Sweden that’s home to a large university, making it a lively and youthful place to visit. The cobbled streets and old buildings around the main square are atmospheric and the city is surrounded by forests and lakes, making it a great place to enjoy the outdoors. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants, as well as a lively music and arts scene, and Örebro is also a great base for exploring the rest of Sweden.

Nice and cosy. Love the small streets with ancient architecture!

I studied at Örebro University for 3 years and lived in the student neighborhood of Tybble close to the campus. I really enjoyed student life there with a large campus with lots of activities for students even though the semi-legal pubs around the student dorms seem to be gone now. I also quite like the downtown area where I tend to end up when I come back for a visit. The castle with its moat is really nice and it is easy to explore the city on foot or bike. I still give it only 3 stars though as the food is very so-so, and for me it is pretty inconveniently located right inbetween the two coasts and not really close to the North nor the South. If it was located on the coast it might be as nice as Helsingborg. I recommend visiting in the summer and taking a walk around downtown, and having a cold beer outside at some place overlooking the castle.
