Murmansk

Murmansk is a port city in the extreme northwest of Russia, on the Kola Bay near the Barents Sea. It is the world's largest city north of the Arctic Circle. The city is home to the Russian Navy's Northern Fleet and a number of commercial and industrial enterprises, including the world's largest nuclear icebreaker fleet.

The city is connected to the rest of Russia by the Murmansk Railway. Murmansk was the last city founded in Russia, in 1916. The city is home to the world's largest statue of Lenin.
