Požarevac

Požarevac is a small town in central Serbia, located on the banks of the Velika Morava river. It is best known as the birthplace of Marshal Tito, the first president of Yugoslavia. The town is a popular tourist destination, thanks to its well-preserved historic centre and the Marshal Tito Museum, which is dedicated to the life and work of the famous statesman. Požarevac is also home to a number of other interesting museums and cultural attractions, including the Ethnographic Museum, the Military Museum and the Church of St. George. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the town centre, as well as a few parks and gardens.
