Botoșani

Once an important city in the Kingdom of Romania, Botoșani is now a quiet and underrated town in the northeast of the country. The main square is a beautiful example of a traditional Romanian town square, with a large church at one end and a bustling market at the other. The surrounding streets are lined with impressive baroque and neoclassical buildings, many of which are now used as government offices or schools. There are several museums in the town, as well as a large park and a few thermal springs. Botoșani is a great place to relax and get a feel for traditional Romanian life.
