Malawi

Malawi is a landlocked country in southeastern Africa that was formerly known as Nyasaland. It is bordered by Zambia to the northwest, Tanzania to the northeast, and Mozambique to the west, south, and east. The country is divided into three regions: the Northern Region, Central Region, and Southern Region. The capital is Lilongwe, which is also the largest city, and the official languages are English and Chichewa, but a variety of other languages are also spoken.

Among the most popular tourist destinations are Lake Malawi, Mount Mulanje, and the Liwonde National Park. Lake Malawi is the largest lake in Malawi and the ninth largest lake in the world. It is also home to a large number of fish species, including the cichlid, which is the national fish of Malawi. Mount Mulanje is the highest mountain in Malawi and one of the highest in Africa. The Liwonde National Park is located in the southern part of the country and is home to a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, and leopards.
