Liepaja

Liepaja is a port city on the Baltic Sea in Latvia. It's known for its wide promenades, beaches and Art Nouveau architecture. The cobbled streets of the Old Town are home to the Karosta Fortress, a former military prison turned tourist attraction, and the neoclassical Liepaja Cathedral. The city's many parks include the tree-lined Park of Culture and Rest, with a lake, and the Seaside Park, with a pier, a lighthouse and a casino.
