Ukmergė

Ukmergė is a small city in northeastern Lithuania, founded in the late 13th century. It’s located on the banks of the Vilnia River, about an hour’s drive from the capital, Vilnius. The city is home to a small but charming old town, with narrow streets, colorful houses, and a few interesting churches. There are also a few parks and a large commercial district. Ukmergė is a convenient base for exploring the surrounding countryside, which is dotted with lakes, forests, and small villages.
