Iraq is a country located in the Middle East. It is bordered by Kuwait to the north, Saudi Arabia to the west, Jordan to the west, Syria to the northwest, Turkey to the north, and Iran to the east. Iraq is a diverse country with a Shia Muslim majority and a Sunni Muslim minority.
The main reasons to visit Iraq are to see the ancient ruins, to experience the diverse culture, and to visit Baghdad which is one of the largest cities in the Middle East. The country is home to the ancient city of Babylon and the ruins of the Assyrian capital of Nineveh. Here you will also find the world's oldest continuously inhabited city, Erbil.
