Hämeenlinna is a small city located in the south of Finland, about an hour and a half drive from Helsinki. It is a quiet city with a population of around 60,000, and is best known for its beautiful medieval castle, which is the largest in Finland. The castle is open to the public and is a popular tourist attraction, as is the nearby Hämeenlinna Cathedral. The city also has a few other interesting historical buildings, as well as a few parks and lakes. Hämeenlinna is a nice place to visit for a day or two, and is a good base for exploring the surrounding area.
