Schweinfurt

Schweinfurt is a small city in the Franconian region of Bavaria, Germany. It is the home of the world's largest ball bearing manufacturer, the Schaeffler Group. The city has a population of approximately 52,000 and is the center of the district of Schweinfurt.

The city was first mentioned in a document in 1002, and in the Middle Ages it was an important center of trade and industry. The city's economy is still based on industry, although the ball bearing manufacturer is now the only major employer in the city.

The city has a well-preserved old town, with a number of churches and other historic buildings. There are also a number of parks and a botanical garden.
