Lutherstadt Wittenberg is a picturesque town in the eastern German state of Saxony-Anhalt, best known as the birthplace of the Protestant Reformation. The town was founded in the 12th century by the Saxon count Albert the Bear and is home to several notable landmarks, including the Lutherhaus, where Martin Luther lived and worked for over a decade, and the Schlosskirche, where he preached his famous 95 Theses.
