Duren is a historic town in the Rhineland region of Germany, located on the river Sieg. Dating back to the 8th century, the town is known for its well-preserved medieval architecture, including the towering Burgberg (Castle Hill) and the 12th century St. Peter’s Basilica. The old town is a lively place, with narrow streets and a host of cafes, restaurants and shops. There’s also a charming Christmas market in December.
