Delmenhorst is a small city in northwestern Germany, part of the Bundesland of Lower Saxony. It is located on the river Weser, about 30 kilometers east of Bremen. Though it has a population of only about 73,000, Delmenhorst is one of the most important economic centers in the region, with a large number of businesses and industries. The city is also home to the University of Applied Sciences and Arts, as well as a number of other educational institutions. Delmenhorst is a charming city with a well-preserved historic center.
