What people say

Berlin is a great city to get lost by yourself. The public transportation, art & music, culture and gastronomy are unique at every price range. Berlin feels almost like a different place in time if you visit from Canada or USA.

Neukölln is my favorite.

Berlin has been one of my favorite cities in the world since my very first visit. I have been fortunate to have been back many times since then, both with friends and with my girlfriend. I love that the city has it all, you can do fancy things or go to crappy dive bars. You can be part of the startup scene, or stumble out of nightclubs in the early morning. You can visit historical sites and take a cruise on the river, or watch a Bundesliga game. And it all blends together in a nice relaxed way. Berlin also manages to be beautiful and pretty damn ugly at the same time somehow. I guess it is the communist-era gray buildings mixed with older great-looking buildings and sleek modern ones. There is also a special energy in Berlin, without it feeling pretentious and stressful like some other big cities. I prefer staying in the Northeastern part of Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg, or Friedrichshain. I will go grab a bite and a beer in Kreuzberg, but I don't really enjoy that part of town so much, or at least not for too long. I eat curry wurst every single time I am there. You should too.
