Mural for Peace

The Lennon Wall in Prague is known for peace, political voices, and history, filled with graffiti and hopeful messages.

The heart of Central Europe, Prague in Czechia, is far more than a stunning cityscape. It is indeed a city of bridges, cathedrals, and spires, with a long and complex history. With its lively culture and intellectual appeal, Prague beckons travellers with a strong sense of curiosity.

In Prague, history is not simply preserved; it is lived. Visitors can walk the same streets where the likes of Kafka and Einstein once strolled, while listening to the echoes of centuries-old music reverberating from opulent concert halls.

In the city centre, one is greeted by the soaring towers of Prague Castle, a historical complex that has been the seat of Czech rulers for centuries. Its Gothic and Romanesque style is a testament to the city's architectural heritage. Not far off is Charles Bridge, a stone bridge adorned with baroque statues, which offers stunning views of the Vltava River. The city's commitment to preserving its past is equally evident in its museums, such as the National Museum and the Jewish Museum, each holding artifacts significant to the nation's history and culture.

Local activities and attractions are plenty, offering unique opportunities to immerse oneself in Czech traditions. The Astronomical Clock in the Old Town Square, a testament to ingenuity and artistry of the medieval era, is a sight to behold. Vyšehrad, a historic fort, offers panoramic views of the city and the Vltava River.

The Czech people possess a quiet, resilient spirit, embodied in their rich artistic and intellectual heritage. Many inhabitants still adhere to traditional customs, while embracing the cosmopolitan lifestyle that Prague offers. Despite the city's size, a strong sense of community prevails.

Local taverns serve traditional Czech meals, where you can enjoy a pint of renowned Czech beer alongside hearty dishes like svíčková, a marinated beef dish served with creamy sauce.

When it comes to Prague there are a lot of things that come into my mind! Sometimes I don’t even know where to start! If a had to choose a go to location for times that am stressed from work and times where I need to relax for a week or two that would be Prague.

Prague is the perfect place to go for a vacation! I've been there a total of 3 times, and it never gets old. The food there is cheap and delicious, the drinks are perfect, and the beer is one of a kind. The ability to navigate within the cities is very easy and there is limited chance for you to get lost since there are signs everywhere explaining everything and also the community there is helpful in a unique way with the tourists (every time I asked for places and how to get there we took photos with the people of the city which is something I personally don’t see often). Furthermore is great to have an album of a country you’ve visited with photos from a variety of people there!

For night life, there are events happening all day every day so you never have to worry about getting bored, I am positive that even if you like one specific type of event there will be one for you to join and have fun! The architecture of the city itself is stunning and an overall great place to be!

Prague is worth visiting especially spring/fall. Not only the historic centre and sights are nice, but the nature around is lovely too. Prague is however full of scammers and it is better to stick to your credit card when paying.

Stunning history sights esp. the Prague Castle and the Jewish Town. And lot of cool places with great beer for locals as Letna and Naplavka. Avoid changing money on the streets.

Prague is one of the most beautiful old-style cities I have been to. The old town and surrounding areas with the bridges and cathedrals are really something special. And there is some great food and of course beer to be found all over town.

We also went to a music festival slightly outside of Prague that was called Aerodrom Festival. It was perhaps the best-managed festival I have experienced. There were a lot of people, but it didn't feel crowded. The food and drinks were great. And the sound. The sound was out of this world! It didn't matter if it was Flogging Molly or System Of A Down playing, it all sounded perfect.
