Mladá Boleslav

Mladá Boleslav is a small city about an hour's drive north of Prague. It's known for its car factories - both Škoda and Volkswagen have large plants here - and for being the birthplace of legendary tennis player Martina Navratilova. But there's more to Mladá Boleslav than just cars and tennis players. The city has a lovely old town centre, with a pedestrianised main square, a range of churches and a couple of interesting museums. There's also a pretty park on the banks of the River Labe, and a few good restaurants and pubs. If you're looking for an interesting day trip from Prague, Mladá Boleslav is a great option.
