Cape Verde is an island country located in the central Atlantic Ocean, west of Senegal. The country consists of 10 islands, 9 of which are inhabited. The capital city is Praia, located on the island of Santiago. Cape Verde is a former Portuguese colony and is now an independent country. The official language of the country is Portuguese, but Cape Verdean Creole is also widely spoken.

The climate in Cape Verde is tropical, with average temperatures ranging from 22 to 28 degrees Celsius. The main reasons to visit Cape Verde are its beautiful beaches, its friendly people, and its unique culture. Cape Verde is known for its music, particularly the genre known as morna.
