Jungfraujoch

Jungfraujoch: A high mountain experience with ice, a weather station, and outdoor sports.

Jungfraujoch, situated at an elevation of 3,466 meters (11,371 feet), is often referred to as the "Top of Europe." It provides a vantage point set between the Mönch and Jungfrau mountains.

A trip to Jungfraujoch is an adventure through the Swiss Alps via the Jungfrau Railway. Traveling through tunnels in the Eiger and Mönch mountains, the train journey offers glimpses of glaciers and craggy rocks, notably from the Eismeer Station.

Upon arrival, the panorama encompasses the Aletsch Glacier, the longest ice flow in Europe at 23 kilometers (14 miles). For those interested in astronomy, the Sphinx Observatory, one of the world's highest, allows for stargazing from a unique vantage point.

Jungfraujoch also hosts a range of activities. The Ice Palace features ice sculptures, while the Snow Fun Park caters to skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts in the summer. Walking paths in the area provide both a physical challenge and spectacular views.
