Belize is a small country located on the east coast of Central America. It is bordered by Mexico to the north, Guatemala to the west and south, and the Caribbean Sea to the east. Belize is the only country in Central America with English as its official language.
There are a number of reasons to visit Belize. The country is home to some of the best beaches in Central America, as well as a number of Maya archaeological sites. Belize is also a great place to go snorkeling or diving, as the country has a number of coral reefs.
Belizean cuisine is a mix of Maya, Creole, Garifuna, and Mestizo influences. Common dishes include rice and beans, tamales, fry jacks, and stewed chicken.
