Botswana is a landlocked country in Southern Africa. It is bordered by South Africa to the south and southeast, Namibia to the west and north, and Zimbabwe to the northeast. The country is named after the Botswana people, who are the majority ethnic group in the country. The country is also home to the San people, who are the indigenous people of Botswana. The capital and largest city is Gaborone.

Botswana is a popular tourist destination for its wildlife and its landscapes. It has the world's largest inland delta, the Okavango Delta, as well as the Kalahari Desert, which is the world's largest saltpan. There is a large number of game reserves and national parks, including the Chobe National Park, the Moremi Game Reserve, and the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Botswana has the world's largest population of elephants.

The cuisine of Botswana is heavily influenced by the country's many different cultures. The country's cuisine includes dishes such as Seswaa, a meat stew made with beef or goat; Phane, a stew made with beans; and Morogo, a spinach dish.
