Kazanlak is the rose capital of Bulgaria. It’s also one of the oldest towns in the country, dating back to the 4th century BC. There’s plenty to see and do in Kazanlak, from exploring the Thracian tombs and ancient ruins to taking a stroll through the rose gardens. The town is also home to a number of museums, including the Archaeological Museum and the Museum of Roses. When you’re not exploring the town, head to the nearby Stara Planina Mountains for some hiking and sightseeing. There are also a number of monasteries and churches in the area that are worth a visit.
