Sint-Niklaas is a small city in the east of Belgium, near the Dutch border. It’s best known for its annual Sint-Niklaas parade, when the city’s children dress up as characters from the story of Saint Nicholas and parade through the streets. The city is also home to a brewery, De Koninck, and a chocolate factory, Leonidas. Chocolate and beer lovers will find plenty to enjoy in Sint-Niklaas, while those looking for a more historical city should head to nearby Ghent or Antwerp.
